Beaulieu-sur-Layon (49)

In 2019, Louis Vuitton opened its 16th leather goods production center in Beaulieu-sur-Layon, located in Maine-et-Loire, approximately 300 km from Paris.
The center is unique in its architectural design and presents an original concept. Currently, seven additional workshops are under construction as part of Louis Vuitton's efforts to create jobs in France and to transfer its luxury brand know-how.

The design concept for the Beaulieu-sur-Layon factory, referred to as "agile," was based on three primary criteria: speed of construction, flexibility of use, and capacity for evolution. The efficient collaboration between the client, architect, and building companies resulted in the successful completion of the project in less than 12 months.
This project represents a new approach to the creation of production centers for future Louis Vuitton factories in France and Europe, as it incorporates an emphasis on visual and acoustic comfort within the workshop.
The limited use of materials and dominant use of wood throughout the design expresses Louis Vuitton's values in connection with travel, luxury, and the tradition of handcrafted know-how transfer.
